Gold Cup winners!

Louis Prette finally got the result he has deserved all season, winning the Gold Cup class at the GT World Challenge Europe race at Misano in the #58 McLaren.

Team mate Tom Fleming took the start from P17 on the grid and moved up to P10 overall and P1 in Gold Cup during a chaotic opening lap.

Tom explained: “It was just a party of carbon confetti! Everywhere you looked there was a shunt so you just needed to keep your nose clean.”

While the #58 McLaren finished P1 in class and P9 overall, the #59 McLaren also had a good race in the hands of Benji Goethe and Marvin Kirchhöfer. Benji gained an incredible 10 places on Lap 1, which moved him up to P8 in the PRO class. After Marvin joined the race at the halfway mark, he managed to move up two further places to finish in P6 overall, a brilliant result after starting way back in P26.
