The #59 Garage 59 McLaren of Benji Goethe and Marvin Kirchhöfer is sitting pretty in third place in the overall GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup standings after the first Sprint weekend of the season at Brands Hatch.

The first of the two, one-hour sprint races delivered a pair of second place podium finishes for Garage 59.
The #59 McLaren, in the hands of Marvin Kirchhöfer, was off like a shot at the start of the one-hour race, stealing second place then setting off after the leading #69 Ferrari, while Adam Smalley in the #58 McLaren followed suit, moving up from 8th overall to 6th at the start.
The positions remained the same until the pit stops. Benji Goethe took over the #59 and joined the race in second place behind the #69 Ferrari. A lap later, the #51 Ferrari got the overcut and rejoined the race in the middle of the 1-2 battle. The #51 Ferrari got the better of the #69 and then Benji took the opportunity to also pass the #69, regaining second place overall and in the Pro Cup class, which he held until the chequered flag.
Louis Prette took over the #58 McLaren, joining the race in eighth place overall but P2 in class. After some huge battles in the closing stages he crossed the line, taking the second place in Gold Cup!
Race 2 then produced a P6 finish overall for the #59 McLaren, which secured third place in the standings, and a P4 finish in Gold Cup for the #58.
