Pole Position at Imola!

What a way to start our #WEC story. The #10 McLaren took pole position for the first round of the 2026 season with Antares Au grabbing a place in Hyperpole and Tom Fleming converting it to Pole Position with a perfect lap.

Tom Fleming: "We’ve been up and down through the practice sessions so after Antares got us into Hyperpole we thought “let’s pull the pin and see what we can do”. I gave it everything I could and left nothing on the table.

"We’ve shown that we have the pace over one lap and I think we are looking good for the 6 hours, both for us and the sister car. We’re hoping for a nice, incident free race but it looks like there could be some mixed weather, which can always spice things up."

The scene is set for the 6 Hours of Imola and it all gets underway tomorrow (Sunday 19 April) at 13:00hrs CEST.
