The #58 Garage 59 McLaren secured a hard-fought P2 podium finish in the Gold Cup class at Monza, surviving the toughest GT World Challenge Europe race of the season so far.

Benji Goethe, Louis Prette and Tom Fleming brought the McLaren home after three gruelling hours at the “Temple of Speed”, in a race repeatedly interrupted by major incidents and heavy attrition throughout the field.
Monza is always fast, unforgiving and fiercely competitive, but this year’s GT World Challenge round proved especially brutal, with a huge number of cars failing to make it to the chequered flag.

Unfortunately, one of those was the #59 McLaren GT3 EVO, whose race ended before it had properly begun. Marvin Kirchhöfer made a strong start, but as the pack barrelled into the first corner, he was turned around and sent into the path of the oncoming field.
Thankfully, Marvin was unhurt, but he was just one of those involved in the huge opening-lap accident that ultimately eliminated nine cars before a single racing lap had been completed.
From there, the #58 crew kept their focus, avoided the ongoing chaos and delivered a composed drive to secure a well-earned Gold Cup podium at one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar.
